It was a busy weekend for Falfins this weekend!
Friday night we held our developmental pizza meet. We had lots of fun and great swims. This weekend was the main work weekend for getting the roof and walls installed at Wolf Ranch. Thank you to everyone that volunteered with that project. Saturday and Sunday were the Colorado Swimming Swimposium. At this event our coaches and selected swimmers work on leadership training, continuing education, and LSC governance. Swimmer Alaia Sloan attended the CSI banquet and was awarded 7 National Age Group Top 10 Awards. Grace and Abigail Perry were also invited to the banquet, as were all Colorado Zones, All Stars, and NAG Top 10 swimmers. Payton Fontenot was selected to attend the CSI Athlete Leadership Summit and was elected as an athlete rep to the CSI Board. Head Coach Tristan Cross was reelected as General Chair of Colorado Swimming. Great work Falfins! We had SO MUCH FUN yesterday at the Swim-a-thon and team picnic! Thank you to our board members and volunteers who made it all happen. Congratulations to new team LC record holders James Schreiber, Kamdyn Swanson, Abi Perry, Grace Perry and Alaia Sloan. Some of the records went back 23 years!!! Way to go Falfins!

Congratulations to our Falfins that swam at the 12 & Under Long Course Championships in Fort Collins and the Senior Western Zones meet in Clovis, California. The State meet was the first prelims/finals meet for our 12 & Unders and they really stepped up, earning spots in finals in 80% of their swims and coming back and swimming even faster in finals. The swimmers in Clovis overcame a long week of hot temps and grueling schedules to have some really great swims, many personal bests and 3 new Futures times from Adam Pannell and Izzy Burton. What a great way to end the season! Falfins have one more championship meet-The Perry sisters travel today to Texas to swim for Team Colorado in the Western Age Group Zones meet. Good Luck Ladies!!!
Its championship season and Falfins are off to a roaring start! Dillon Mezey earned 5 gold medals at Paralympic Juniors. At Senior State we had great swims from everyone, including a 1st place in the 200 fr, a 2nd in the 50 fr, 2nd in the 800 fr and 2nd in the 100 fr from Abigail Perry. Abigail's 100 was a new Futures cut and team record! Stay tuned for results from Age Group State, Senior Zones, and Age group zones, where Abigail and Grace Perry will represent the Falfins on Team Colorado.
